Why?

Why do some men and women believe life to be so...meaningless? Why are their human beings that go through their lives completely oblivious to everything but their own wish to die? Why are humans so ignorant, stupid, foolish?

A few moments ago, I spoke with such a person. This person's name and the exact comments I made will not be stated within this topic for that person's privacy and due to the fact that I gave this person my word.

The person was okay. I said Thank God. The person told me God is a lie. Some days, it certainly feels like it. But God is not a lie...

Not that I am here to shove religious bullshit down your throats. God is what you make him to be. God is, in a way, the meaning some men give their life. Some choose to live by God. Others Allah. Others live by no god and follow their own morals, which is their own god like prescence in its own way.

But this person did no such thing. This person allowed themself to be swallowed up in human idiocy and hopelessness. This fool gave up all hope, all wish to love, all wish to live. Or tried to, if not for this person's friend.

The person said life is meaningless. The person said that it felt meaningless. What it doesn't understand is that evertything is meaningless in the grand scheme.

In the grand scheme, we are but ants. We are ants in a crashing river. A river crashing towards our eventual destruction. We are alone. And yet, we are not. For next to the ant that is you is another ant. And another ant. And another dozen ants. And on the way to the end, these dozen ants form your life...your friends...your love.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is...life is never so meaningless as to be thrown away for no good purpose. Never give up...no matter how hopeless life seems.
